The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin at a meeting on the development of the aviation industry, which took place on June 22 at Kazan Aviation Plant named after S.P.Gorbunov (a branch of Tupolev PJSC), stated the need to actively increase the production of medium-range narrow-body passenger aircraft Tu-214.
«It is important to actively increase the construction of such liners. Today we will discuss further steps to support this project, as well as the expansion of the direction and the necessary additional funding for this<\/i>», - Mikhail Mishustin said.
He reminded that Kazan Aviation Plant should start producing ten TU-214 annually by 2025. At the same time, Mishustin noted that Russia is implementing a state program, which provides for 40.5 billion rubles for activities in 2023. These funds will be used for the modernization of production and engineering centers, the creation of promising engines, and other important projects.
