Разведка Пентагона: Россия к 2035 году накопит 5000 ракет и 1000 единиц гиперзвукового оружия

The US used the "Russian threat" as a cover to justify the costs of creating the "Golden Dome" missile defense system

Russia will have an impressive arsenal of cruise and hypersonic missiles by 2035. To protect against the threat from Russia and other countries, including China and Iran, the United States must develop a new "Golden Dome" missile defense system. This is stated in the report of the Intelligence Directorate of the US Department of Defense.

According to Bulgarian Military, analysts prepared this document to convince the US Congress to allocate funding for the new missile defense system. The report states that Russia currently has approximately 300–600 cruise missiles, including the Kh-101, R-500, and Kalibr.

The US estimates the hypersonic arsenal at 200–300 units and includes Kh-47M2 Kinzhal, Tsirkon, and Avangard missiles. These weapons are designed to bypass traditional defenses through speed and maneuverability.

The US Defense Intelligence Agency claims that by 2035, Russia could accumulate 5,000 cruise missiles and 1,000 units of hypersonic weapons.

Sanctions and disruptions in the supply chain of components have negatively affected the Russian defense industry, limiting its ability to increase missile production. However, the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) states that Russia has become less dependent on imported electronics.

Thus, the United States expects that Russia's missile arsenal will only grow.
