Project 23356 (developed by engineers of "Severnoye Design Bureau", part of USC) is a high-tech frigate (escort ship, a class of naval ships with a displacement of up to 4000 tons) of the latest generation, which combines power and functionality. This was reported by the press service of Rosoboronexport.

Capable of destroying critical ground facilities, combat surface ships, including those equipped with a strong air defense system, and providing effective fire support to ground forces and landing forces on the coast.
The frigate is designed to provide air defense, anti-submarine and anti-ship defense of ships and convoys. Developed for long sea voyages.

- Displacement — about 4500 tons
- Length — 135 m
- Width — 16.4 m
- Draft — 4.53 m
- Speed — 29.5 knots
- Autonomy — 30 days
The frigate entered service with the Russian Navy in 2014.
The escort ship received an integrated Club – N missile system with a firing range of up to 300 km, a multi-channel Rif-M air defense system, an A-192E artillery system, and a Palma air defense missile system. It is equipped with the Furke – 2M radar, and the Zarya ME – 03 hydroacoustic complex.
