Russian military personnel have discovered a weak spot in the armor configuration of the T-90M "Proryv-3" main battle tank. It turned out to be the turret ring sector, which is covered from the factory with a single-tier slat anti-cumulative screen (ACS).
Soldiers placed additional 4S20 dynamic protection (DZ) "Kontakt-1" modules on the ACS.
The DZ element itself consists of two 2.3-mm steel plates and a 5.4 mm layer of plastic explosive PVV-5A. The mass of PVV in one element is 260 grams, in TNT equivalent - 280 grams.
