The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia issued a warning to AO "Izhavia", which performs the functions of the main operator of Izhevsk airport. The agency revealed signs of violation of antimonopoly legislation regarding the collection of additional fees from airlines for ensuring passenger registration and dispatch.

The FAS position was supported by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation. According to current state regulation, tariffs for passenger services at airports are clearly fixed, and all technological costs for registration and baggage handling must be included in the basic ground handling tariff.
However, AO "Izhavia" singled out the provision of access to the automated registration system as an additional service, for which a separate payment was charged. The antimonopoly body regarded such actions as imposing unfavorable contract terms on air carriers. If the operator does not eliminate the violations within the established period, the FAS will initiate an official antimonopoly case.
It should be noted that earlier AO "Izhavia" lost its own operator certificate for performing passenger flights, but continued to manage the Izhevsk airport complex.
