PAO Yakutskenergo officially announced the completion of a critically important stage in the modernization of Yakutskaya GRES-2. Energy specialists cut the installed gas pipeline from booster compressor station No. 3 into the common collector.

Specialists also organized technological tie-ins of gas pipelines to the newly commissioned gas turbine units No. 5 and No. 6 EGES-25PA.
The GRES-2 press service called this stage one of the key ones for connecting gas turbines with a capacity of 25 MW each.
Recall that in 2017, four powerful LM6000 gas turbines from the American company General Electric were installed at GRES-2.
Now they will be replaced by two domestic EGES-25PA units, which were built based on the gas generator of the PS-90 engine. These power units are used on wide-body Il-96 airliners, as well as medium-haul Tu-214.
