Almost 1.25 billion rubles have been allocated in the draft budget for 2027–2029 for the development of critical technologies for 5G Advanced and 6G networks. This follows from the explanatory note to the document, TASS reports.

In 2027, 249.4 million rubles will be allocated for these purposes, and 498.9 million each in 2028 and 2029. The federal project “Applied Research and Advanced Developments” of the national project “Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State” includes these expenses. The document is posted in the electronic database of the lower house of parliament.

The development of critical technologies for 5G Advanced and 6G should lay the foundation for future communication networks. For comparison: more than 470 billion rubles can be allocated to the national project “Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State” as a whole.
