The government plans to allocate about 22.5 billion rubles in 2027 to the federal project “Development of Space Nuclear Energy in Russia”. This is stated in the explanatory note to the draft budget for 2027–2029.

The exact amount for 2027 is 22.4501 billion rubles. In 2026, 10.214 billion was provided for these purposes, and 19.3692 billion is planned for 2028. In total, over 60.612 billion rubles have been allocated for the project over three years.
Over 22 billion rubles have been allocated in 2027 for the development of technologies and the creation of space complexes based on nuclear power plants. 376.7 million rubles have been allocated for services to support the implementation of the federal project.
Context
In general, 337.646 billion rubles are planned to be allocated in 2027 for the national project “Development of Space Activities of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030 and for the prospect up to 2036”. In 2028, the funding for this area should amount to 334.364 billion rubles.
All amounts are taken from the draft budget and may be adjusted during consideration in the State Duma.
