RT-Proektnye Tekhnologii of Rostec, together with Standard Elektrik, have developed a passive fire protection system to protect passages for engineering utilities. When heated, intumescent materials expand in volume and fill the space around cables, pipes, and other utilities, forming a heat-insulating layer of foamed coke.

One of the stated features of the development is its applicability in the conditions of the Far North. The creators claim that a number of foreign analogues are not designed for such low temperatures. According to the developers, the Russian system also differs in chemical composition and a high expansion coefficient when activated.
In a fire, they work as a single mechanism: they expand, fill voids and block the path of fire. This allows selecting a solution for very different types of utilities — cable, ventilation, pipeline and mixed — and achieving the required fire resistance limit.
The solution includes gels, mastics, tapes, bundles, panels and blocks. They can be used both during construction and on already completed objects. The system is designed for cable, ventilation, pipeline and mixed utilities.
