Российские лесные пожары будут тушить тысячи беспилотников

More than five thousand fire-fighting UAVs will appear in the country by the end of 2030

Plans for Russian drone use in fire safety have been revealed. The head of Rosleskhoz, Ivan Sovetnikov, spoke about plans to purchase more than 5,100 fire-fighting drones by the end of 2030.

Drones will not only be able to fight fire, but they will also track sources of ignition and help identify offenders

Presumably, more than 1,200 drones will require about 2 billion rubles. Their systematic use for monitoring forest fires, observing specially protected natural areas, waste management facilities, the condition of water bodies, subsoil, and monitoring compliance with licensing requirements is stipulated in the national project BAS, which will be published in early 2024.

Drones are already being considered for fighting fires in large cities and their multi-story buildings. The Infitech Corporation recently announced the imminent start of production of the first Russian fire-fighting drones at the technology park. It is expected that Perun, Cyclone, Liven, and other developments will be able to extinguish fires in high-rise buildings - for example, in Moscow City.
