TMH-Electrotech, part of TMH-Energeticheskie Resheniya, delivered the hundredth GPP-840 DC traction generator to the customer. The machine is used in the design of TEM18DM shunting locomotives manufactured by Bryansk Machine-Building Plant.

The GPP-840 with a power of 840 kW is part of the locomotive's diesel-generator set and is designed to power traction electric motors. The generator is also equipped with a current winding, allowing it to be temporarily used as a starting electric motor powered by a battery to start the diesel engine.

Serial production of the GPP-840 at TMH-Electrotech began in late 2025 after receiving a certificate of conformity with the requirements of the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union. Prior to this, the enterprise produced armatures for the generator, and its final assembly was carried out at Penzadieselmash, which is also part of the TMH-Energeticheskie Resheniya structure.

TMH-Electrotech is also expanding the range of traction electric motors, generators, and units for rolling stock. Since 2023, the enterprise has mastered the production of eight new types of electrical machines, including those not previously produced in Russia.

Currently, the enterprise's product line includes 26 types of electric motors, generators, and units that meet the requirements of the customer — OAO RZD.
