Предприятие «ТМХ-Электротех» начало собирать и тестировать тяговые генераторы для нужд РЖД

"TMH-ElectroTech", part of the "TMH-Energy Solutions" division, has officially launched serial production of GPP-840 DC traction generators. The company recently received a certificate of compliance with the requirements of the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union, which confirmed the readiness of the products for operation on the rolling stock of Russian Railways.

The GPP-840 generator with a capacity of 840 kW is a key component of the diesel generator unit of the TEM18DM shunting locomotive, manufactured by the Bryansk Engineering Plant. The device is designed to power traction electric motors and is equipped with a current winding, which allows it to function as an electric motor in emergency or starting mode, starting the diesel engine from the battery.

Previously, "TMH-ElectroTech" was only responsible for the manufacture of armatures for GPP-840, and the final assembly was carried out by "Penzadieselmash" - also a member of the "TMH-Energy Solutions" group.

To organize the full cycle, a large-scale technological preparation was carried out at the enterprise: production lines were modernized and a modern testing station was put into operation. This ensured that the generators meet the most stringent requirements of the customer - JSC "Russian Railways".

According to the plan, the first batch of 30 GPP-840 traction generators will be assembled and shipped to the customer by the end of 2025.
