Schools in Yakutia are planning to receive an artificial intelligence system for free, which will help children in their studies, but not complete assignments for them. The head of the republic, Aysen Nikolaev, spoke about the project during a live broadcast.

The system was developed with the participation of the National Library of Yakutia and is planned to be transferred to schools in the region for free. According to Nikolaev, students will be able to use the capabilities of artificial intelligence directly in the educational process.

At the same time, the principle of the project is not to turn the neural network into a tool for automatically solving problems or writing papers. The student must complete assignments independently, and the AI should help them find information, understand the material, and work on the solution.

The development is related to the "Biblioteka-Neiro" project, which the National Library is developing jointly with the Arctic State University of Arts, Culture and Creative Industries with the participation of Sber. Since 2026, the platform for libraries has been undergoing approbation in 25 central libraries of Russian regions.

"Biblioteka-Neiro" itself is used not only as an educational assistant: the system provides for intelligent information retrieval, catalog work, fund acquisition, and reader service.
