At the site of the State Scientific Center — Research Institute of Atomic Reactors (JSC "SSC RIAR"), acceptance tests of the first three fuel assemblies for the MBIR research reactor were conducted. The commission checked the production readiness, technical parameters, and control measurements. The experimental batch was deemed suitable for initial loading.

Experts from NIKIET, the Institute of Physics and Power Engineering, and the Machine-Building Plant participated in the inspection. The production of assemblies in the institute's fuel complex has been recognized as mastered. By the end of the year, it is planned to complete the supply of all batches of components for fuel elements and the first batch for the assemblies themselves.

MBIR is a fast neutron research facility. Its capabilities will allow studying two-component nuclear energy and closing the fuel cycle, as well as substantiating fourth-generation reactors. The project is being implemented under the national project "New Atomic and Energy Technologies".
