Rostec holding company RT-Engineering is completing commissioning works at the concentrating complex of the Chernogorsky Mining and Processing Plant in the Krasnoyarsk Krai. The enterprise is being prepared for comprehensive tests and subsequent industrial commissioning, scheduled for the end of 2026.

Currently, specialists are combining individual technological stages into a single production chain, checking equipment, configuring automated control systems, and testing protection and interlocking algorithms.

After the completion of these works, the enterprise will proceed to comprehensive tests of the technological chain.

In July 2026, Rostec reported on the technical launch of the first stage of ore preparation at Chernogorsky GOK. During the tests, the equipment processed more than 300 tons of overburden, which did not contain target metals. After that, commissioning works continued.

The Chernogorsky plant is being built in the Norilsk industrial region of the Krasnoyarsk Krai. The first stage of the enterprise is designed to process 7–9 million tons of ore per year, and the produced products will include copper and nickel concentrates containing platinum group metals. In the future, with the development of the Norilsk-1 deposit, the capacity is planned to be increased to 14 million tons of ore per year.

The project is being implemented in the Arctic and permafrost conditions. According to RT-Engineering, the construction required the replacement of main technological equipment and redesign of the factory due to sanctions restrictions.
