The project for the construction of a power unit at Permskaya TPP-14 with the first domestic F-class gas turbine GTE-65.1 received a positive conclusion from Glavgosexpertiza of Russia on the design documentation and engineering surveys of the first stage. This is reported in the project materials. At this stage, it is not about a ready-made combined cycle unit, but about creating infrastructure for the installation and testing of the lead GTE-65.1 unit.

The gas turbine manufactured by Silovye Mashiny will be the central element of the project. The nominal power of GTE-65.1 is 67.7 MW under standard conditions.

At Permskaya TPP-14, it is initially planned to operate it in an open cycle, and after confirming the guaranteed performance, expand the facility to a 105 MW combined cycle power plant with a heat recovery boiler and a steam turbine.

It is field tests that distinguish this project from a typical supply of serial equipment. For the lead GTE-65.1, the plant provides for a main building, a booster compressor station, a gas treatment point, power output systems, and other infrastructure necessary for the turbine to operate in real conditions.

GTE-65.1 belongs to the F-class of power gas turbines. Silovye Mashiny specifies for the GTE-65 family a four-stage turbine with cooled blades of the first stages, a 16-stage compressor, and a low-emission combustion chamber; the declared full design life is 100 thousand equivalent hours.
