The Russian kicksharing service Whoosh has launched in two more Brazilian cities — Curitiba and Campos do Jordão. This was announced by the press service of OOO "VUSH" (part of PAO "VUSH Holding").
Whoosh continues to expand its presence in Latin America. Initially, Whoosh will deploy up to 1,500 electric scooters in both cities.
Curitiba (population about 1.8 million people) has an excellent infrastructure for electric scooter rides, the Whoosh press service stated. The city has a network of bike paths almost 300 km long, connecting residential and business districts, and transport hubs. Local residents often use personal mobility devices (PMDs) for short trips.
The population of Campos do Jordão is up to 50,000 people, but the city welcomes tourists year-round. Last Christmas season, almost 1.5 million vacationers from all over the world visited it.
The Russian company believes that electric scooters will be in high demand. For example, PMDs can be popular for trips between hotels and restaurants, parks, and other tourist attractions. In total, Whoosh is present in 7 locations in Brazil, including Rio de Janeiro, the service summarized.
The company previously entered the markets of Colombia and Mexico. In 2025, Latin American countries brought PAO "VUSH Holding" 14% of its revenue and 20% of its EBITDA.
