The development of the multiplayer game "Mission Luna," dedicated to the exploration of Earth's satellite, has begun in Russia. The project will be presented at the "IGROPROM" exhibition-festival, which will take place from September 18 to 20, 2026.

Players will become the crew of a permanent lunar base: exploring the surface, extracting and delivering resources, maintaining equipment, controlling machinery and drones, expanding infrastructure, and dealing with emergency situations. Success will depend not on one participant, but on the entire team – roles and tasks will have to be distributed among themselves.

Deep knowledge of space will not be required for the game. Through understandable mechanics, users will be able to try themselves in various roles – from operating equipment to exploring the environment and restoring base operations after accidents.

The project is being developed by the NTI Circle Movement as part of the "Personnel for Space" program with the support of Roscosmos and the NTI Foundation. The "Tachanka Tech" studio, a resident of Skolkovo and the Moscow Cluster of Video Games and Animation, is participating in the creation.

The creators expect to use the game not only as entertainment but also as a way to engage schoolchildren and students in astronautics and engineering. Players will be offered quite realistic tasks: where to get water, how to repair equipment far from Earth, and how to distribute work within a small crew.
