Recruiters linked to phone fraudsters became active a week before the vote and have been operating for all three days. This was reported to TASS by Evgeny Masharov, a member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation's Commission on Public Control.

They write in messengers, intimidating citizens, claiming they have become accomplices. They demand four digits from an SMS – the code from "Gosuslugi". After that, they hijack the account and extract personal data to exert further pressure.

The expert urged not to engage in correspondence with fraudsters, to take screenshots, and to report to law enforcement agencies.

According to him, a month before the elections, fraudsters collected data under the pretext of verifying voter registration, luring people to phishing sites. Law enforcement and the prosecutor's office promptly block such resources. Disinformation and deepfakes are primitive in nature, noted the representative of the OP.
