Around 2 million Russians have chosen online voting for the State Duma elections. From September 18 to 20, elections of various levels will be held in Russia — from deputies of the lower house of parliament to regional and local campaigns. In 32 regions, it will be possible to vote remotely. To use DEG, it is necessary to apply in advance through "Gosuslugi", the Ministry of Digital Development stated.

The largest number of applications for participation in DEG came from the Moscow Oblast — 389 thousand. The Altai Krai is in second place with 187 thousand applications. Next are Sverdlovsk Oblast — 179 thousand, Rostov Oblast — 169 thousand, and Chuvashia — 108 thousand.

If a person is not at their place of registration on election days, they can choose a convenient polling station in advance through the "Mobile Voter" service on "Gosuslugi". More than 480 thousand citizens have used it, the Ministry of Digital Development added.

In the elections for State Duma deputies, it will be possible to vote at any convenient polling station in any region of Russia. In 56 constituent entities where regional elections will be held, voters will be able to choose a polling station within their electoral district.

In addition, residents of six regions who find themselves in Moscow on election days will be able to vote for the head of their region directly in the capital.

If plans change, the voting method can be changed until 23:59 Moscow time on September 14.
