Serial robotic production of NGP 4.0 rail slabs for the high-speed railway (HSR) has been launched in Veliky Novgorod. This was reported by the press service of Russian Railways (OAO "RZD").

Two robotic lines will produce about 320 NGP 4.0 slabs per day. The planned capacity of the plant, owned by GK "Natsproektstroy", is over 100 thousand products per year. This will cover up to 2/3 of the needs of the Moscow — St. Petersburg HSR. At the same time, enterprises with manual or stand molding of slabs produce only up to 10 thousand products per year.
The unique composite structure of high-strength concrete with an integrated layer of elastic polymer has no world analogues.
NGP 4.0 slabs surpass foreign analogues in terms of permissible speed, operating temperature range, and ease of maintenance.
The head of the Ministry of Transport, Andrey Nikitin, stated that this is a completely new level of technology for Russia. The slabs will be manufactured with an accuracy of up to half a millimeter. They can be operated at temperatures from -50 degrees to +50 degrees.
The construction of the HSR from Moscow to St. Petersburg actively began in 2026. The launch of the main line is scheduled for the second quarter of 2028, and the full completion of all facilities — by 2029.
