The Moscow Exchange will launch trading in "perpetual" futures on Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Tron indices starting September 22. The new instruments will only be available to qualified investors.

The futures will be one-day contracts but with automatic renewal, so investors will not have to constantly switch to a new contract after the previous one expires. Quotes will be displayed in dollars as the value of the corresponding cryptocurrency index, and all settlements will be made in rubles.
There will be no need to buy Bitcoin, Ethereum, or other digital currencies themselves. The contracts will be exclusively settlement-based: the investor receives a financial result depending on the change in the index, but no cryptocurrency is transferred to them.
The Moscow Exchange already trades other derivative instruments on digital assets. Since the launch of the first such futures in the summer of 2025, more than 72 thousand qualified investors have made transactions with them, and the total turnover has exceeded 600 billion rubles.
The exchange is simultaneously expanding its range of instruments related to foreign assets. In September, futures on shares of large American companies also appeared on the platform, the value of which is calculated based on prices on foreign exchanges.
