The Voronezh company Zavoz.pro has developed a new muzzle brake-compensator for the modernized Kalashnikov machine gun PKM. During tests, the device withstood over 20 thousand shots, a company representative reported. Russia produces a line of such devices for various types of weaponry.

The manufactured muzzle devices are designed to equip mobile fire groups. However, the company views the DTK not as a separate product, but as one of the elements of comprehensive equipment for such groups.

According to the developers, the result depends on how harmoniously the weaponry, detection means, weapon mounting on the vehicle, and crew training interact. result

The muzzle brake-compensator is installed at the end of the barrel. After a shot, gunpowder gases pass through it, and a special design redirects them, helping to reduce recoil and muzzle rise. Depending on the design, the DTK can also reduce flash brightness and sound level during a shot.

Several variants of muzzle brake-compensators have already been made. Developers are separately testing devices for AK-74 and AK-12 assault rifles, and also produce a variant for the PKM machine gun. The line also includes gas-unloaded closed-type DTKs.
