Domestic microelectronics enterprises use 84% Russian components, but 90% of the raw materials for their production are not produced in Russia. This was stated by Vadim Yezhlov, head of the materials department at MNTC MIET.

In total, experts counted 5112 names of such materials. Formally, they are considered domestic, although key components for them are supplied from abroad. Because of this, MNTC MIET called such products "conditionally domestic".

Industry experts linked what is happening to the collapse of old production chains. At the same time, domestic demand is not yet large enough for the production of many types of raw materials to become economically viable.

First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov stated that in 2026, Russia entered a limited circle of states capable of producing equipment for electronic engineering.
