JSC "Turbonasos", part of the rocket engine manufacturing structure, has received another bankruptcy petition. Voronezh OOO "Avtotransportnoye predpriyatiye-36" has become the second creditor in a row attempting to initiate bankruptcy proceedings against the enterprise, which specializes in pump and turbine equipment for industry and the rocket and space sector.

The company's history contrasts sharply with its current legal problems. "Turbonasos" developed and produced turbopump units for the RD-0124 and RD-0146 liquid rocket engines. In international projects, the company created a turbine for a Chinese oxygen-hydrogen LRE, designed for 90,000 rpm. For the "Vulcan" program of the European Ariane-5 launch vehicle, Voronezh specialists developed a turbine with a rotational speed of about 30,000 rpm under a contract with Volvo Aero Corporation.

90 thousand revolutions per minute is about 1500 revolutions per second. For an LRE turbomachine, such operating modes require high rotor strength, precise balancing, and the ability of materials to withstand extreme mechanical loads. "Turbonasos" itself attributes the development of the turbine for the "Vulcan" project, and units for the RD-0124 and RD-0146, as key results of its work in the rocket and space industry.

The total amount of recoveries from previous disputes amounted to 5.2 million rubles – debt for transport services and interest for the use of other people's funds.
