Rosmorport has announced an electronic auction for the replacement of a foreign diesel generator on the icebreaker "Kapitan Chadayev" (Project 1105), which is part of the fleet of the Arkhangelsk Directorate of the Arctic Basin Branch. The contract value is estimated at 10.5 million rubles. This is stated in the tender materials in the Unified Information System in the field of procurement.

Applications for participation are accepted until September 17, and the results will be announced on September 18, 2026. The work must be completed by October 30 in the port of Arkhangelsk.
According to the auction materials, the contractor must dismantle the German Deutz BF12M716 diesel generator, including the frame, shock absorbers, and stops. The outdated equipment must be unloaded onto the pier.
It will be replaced by the Russian DGR2 315/1500 RD1843 diesel generator from Remdiesel. The unit itself will be supplied by the customer. Then the contractor will install pipelines for the oil, water, fuel, air, and exhaust gas systems. After testing, the diesel generator must be inspected by an inspector of the Russian Classification Society (RKO) for a final conclusion.
Characteristics of DGR2 315/1500 RD1843:
- Electrical power — 315 kW
- Rotational speed — 1500 rpm
- Type of current — alternating three-phase
- Voltage — 400 V
The icebreaker "Kapitan Chadayev" performs vessel escort in the port of Arkhangelsk during the winter navigation period. The vessel was built in 1978 in Finland. In 2006, Rosmorport became its owner.
