Rosatom specialists have completed inspections of the Sportcat-85 composite passenger catamaran, designed for 12 people. The vessel is intended for excursions on rivers, lakes, and in coastal marine areas. This was reported by the state corporation's press service.

Sportcat-85 was manufactured at the Rosatom Vetrolopasti enterprise in Ulyanovsk. The catamaran passed factory, mooring, and sea trials, confirming its technical characteristics. Serial production of vessels of this class will be launched at the plant in the near future.
The catamaran has high potential for import substitution and saturating the Russian tourist fleet.
The length of Sportcat-85 is 8.5 m. Thanks to its collapsible design, the catamaran can be transported in standard containers and assembled at the operating site.
Rosatom Vetrolopasti is the first full-cycle enterprise in Russia for the production of composite blades for wind turbines. The plant is part of the Composite Division of the state corporation. Personnel for it are trained at Rosatom's competence center "Technology of Composites," which operates at Ulyanovsk State Technical University (UlSTU).
