The MiG-31 interceptor fighter, if necessary, can be effective for destroying low-orbit satellites. This was stated by military expert Alexander Sinyugin.

Its ceiling is 40 km, and the missile can go further. Its task is precisely this; it can quite effectively work on low-orbit satellites.

In total, the Russian Aerospace Forces have about 150 MiG-31 interceptor fighters in various modifications, foreign analysts estimated. Recall that combat aircraft are capable of using Kinzhal missiles.  

For comparison, the practical ceiling of the Su-57 is 20 km, but the tasks of the combat vehicles are completely different.

The MiG-31 interceptor is also equipped with digital computers and an fly-by-wire control system, which automatically guide the MiG-31 to the correct point for missile launch.
