The Ufa plant "ODK-UMPO" attracted 680 first-year students under targeted agreements with the enterprise in the new academic year. Among them are future engineers who can work on next-generation Russian aircraft engines.

112 people entered Ufa University of Science and Technology, and another 12 — Ufa State Petroleum Technical University. In addition, 575 places were allocated for students of six colleges in Ufa and Sterlitamak.

It should be noted that "ODK-UMPO" participates in the creation of the super-powerful PD-35 engine and is developing the high-pressure compressor rotor of the demonstrator gas generator.

The PD-35 itself is expected to become the first Russian gas turbine engine in the 35-ton thrust class. Presumably, it will begin to equip military heavy transport aircraft and promising long-haul airliners.

Also, "ODK-UMPO" is a key manufacturer of engines for Su-57, Su-27, Su-30, and Su-35S fighters.
