Komi authorities have begun negotiations for the purchase of Il-114-300 aircraft for domestic air travel. They are waiting for the airliner to "get properly off the ground," Governor Rostislav Goldstein announced during a live broadcast on social media.

According to him, Komiaviatrans airline will be the operator.
We will definitely get it off the ground. Negotiations with the federal center are underway, and when the Il-114 gets properly off the ground, we will acquire these aircraft. They are specifically for domestic transportation.
It is curious that Komiaviatrans currently operates exclusively Mi-8 series helicopters. The company previously flew Czech L-410s and Soviet An-24s.
Regional jet aircraft Embraer ERJ-145 were also returned to lessors several years ago. At that time, acting head of the republic Vladimir Uyba called the operation of the "Brazilians" a sad experience, as it almost led Komiaviatrans to complete ruin.
Meanwhile, the Il-114-300 has also entered the world market. On September 10, OAK announced an agreement with Indian airlines to transfer up to 105 airliners.
