Since June 2026, a limited energy consumption regime has been in effect in Crimea. The deficit is particularly acute in the north of the peninsula.
The region also has problems in the fuel sector. Due to logistical difficulties, gasoline and diesel fuel at Crimean gas stations are dispensed according to limits set by the authorities.
An emergency roaming regime has been introduced in Crimea, allowing subscribers to switch to other mobile operators' towers without additional charge. The most heavily loaded base stations are connected to backup generators.
