The Nizhny Novgorod "Sokol" plant has not yet officially received the assembly of the new "Osveya" aircraft. The enterprise is only being preliminarily considered among the sites for the Russian part of the production, said Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Gennady Abramenkov.

According to the preliminary option, the Russian site planned to assemble the fuselage and wing caisson. The Belarusian side will undertake the production of some units and components.

Recall that the "Sokol" plant is mainly known as the developer of long-range MiG-31 interceptor fighters. Currently, the enterprise specializes in the repair and modernization of all "MiG" family aircraft, Rostec noted.

In February 2026, Rosaviatsiya presented an updated version of the KPGA, in which plans for the production of "Osveya" were sharply cut – only 28 LMS-192 until 2030. That is, volumes were reduced by 5.5 times.
