The Tambov "Elektropribor" plant, which produces navigation equipment for Russian civil aircraft MC-21 and "Superjet", filed a lawsuit for 291.4 million rubles against the Kirov "Mayak" plant. The enterprises will meet in arbitration for the first time, and the reason for the financial claims has not yet been disclosed.

"Elektropribor" is part of the "Radioelectronic Technologies" (KRET) concern of the Rostec state corporation. The enterprise specializes in the production of navigation, meteorological, geodetic, and other instruments. Its equipment is used on Russian civil aircraft, including MC-21 and "Superjet", as well as Tu-214 and Il-96.

The importance of the enterprise for Russian aviation is growing in 2026. In February, "Elektropribor" began construction of a new production facility. In June, at the SPIEF, Rostec, KRET, the plant, and the government of the Tambov region formalized an investment project worth 2.5 billion rubles.

The new facility, with an area of more than 12.2 thousand square meters, is intended for the serial production of strapdown inertial navigation systems based on laser gyroscopes. They are planned to be installed on MC-21, "Superjet", Il-114-300, Tu-214, and Il-96. The project also provides for about 200 units of high-tech equipment and the creation of approximately 500 jobs.

The financial performance of "Elektropribor" has also significantly increased. According to the results of the first half of 2026, the enterprise's revenue reached 13.35 billion rubles against 9.76 billion rubles a year earlier. Net profit amounted to 1.82 billion rubles.

The defendant in the new case is PAO "Kirovsky Zavod "Mayak"" - a manufacturer of weapons and ammunition. In the first six months of 2026, its revenue amounted to 8.5 billion rubles against 2.1 billion rubles a year earlier, and net profit increased from 31.9 million to 1.5 billion rubles.
