The State Corporation Rostec has launched the production of the "SOKOL-08" mobile radar station with machine learning algorithms. The radar can simultaneously detect up to 100 targets, identify small unmanned aerial vehicles, and automatically ignore false signals. The station was developed by the Rosel holding.

The complex is based on a 2D X-band phased array antenna, which allows for the detection of low-flying and stealthy objects. According to Rostec, the radar can detect a target the size of a small bird or a compact commercial drone.

The station can simultaneously track up to 100 objects. Machine learning algorithms analyze detected targets and discard safe objects, reducing the number of false alarms. In high-speed mode, "SOKOL-08" can track a selected drone and an interceptor drone that is working on that target.

The radar supports 360-degree circular surveillance and sectoral scanning within 90 degrees. Built-in satellite navigation and an inclinometer allow the station to independently determine coordinates, direction to the north, and compensate for tilt during installation. Thanks to this, the complex does not require a specially prepared site for deployment.

The station weighs less than 28 kg and consumes up to 350 W. It can be powered by an industrial 220 V network or a 24 V on-board network. The IP66-rated casing is designed for operation at temperatures from -40 to +60 °C.
