Before the launch of the Lada Azimut into production, AvtoVAZ revealed how it tested the new crossover. During development, the car and its components underwent tests equivalent to more than 1.5 million kilometers of mileage, and the total number of tests reached 7220.

Not only the car itself was tested, but also its individual systems and parts under various conditions. Physical tests were supplemented by 1050 digital checks of the car, its systems, and components.
In addition, engineers used virtual modeling. The company reported that specialists conducted more than 1000 virtual calculations to test various engineering solutions even before their application in the car.
To comprehensively check the design, 370 equivalent vehicles were used. This work became part of the preparation of the Lada Azimut for the launch of serial production.
The powertrain and transmission of the crossover were tested separately. On engine and transmission test benches, tests continued for more than 30 thousand operating hours. During development, 996 new and improved parts were included in the design of the Lada Azimut.
Now, before the car is put on the conveyor, final adjustments and checks are being carried out. According to the company, only a few weeks remain until the start of production.
