The average bill for electric vehicle maintenance at Russian service stations for 7 months of 2026 increased by 7%, to 4.9 thousand rubles, compared to the same period last year. This is confirmed by the research results of experts from "Auto.ru Business" and Fit Service.

Cars with internal combustion engines (ICE) became the most expensive to maintain. The average bill increased by 12%, to 13.2 thousand rubles. At the same time, the average cost per 1 visit to a service station for electric vehicle owners was almost 2.7 times lower than for ICE car owners.

The authors of the study explain this difference by the design features of the vehicles. In particular, electric vehicles do not have an ICE, so the fuel system does not require maintenance. Hybrids, however, require both energy circuits to be maintained.

In addition, most electric vehicles in Russia are new or have low mileage, while the average age of cars with internal combustion engines has exceeded 15 years.

In 2026, the number of visits by electric vehicle owners increased by 23% compared to 2025. Hybrid drivers visited service centers 4% less often.

Frequent service station customers included owners of Zeekr 001 (51% increase in requests), BMW i3 (I01) (+60%), and Evolute i-Pro (+67%). Among hybrids – Honda Freed II (+46%), Lixiang L7 (+49%), Lixiang L9 (+53%), and Voyah Free (+88%).
