The digital ruble will make borrowers “maximally transparent” and simplify access to state credit programs, said Vladimir Vinogradov, investor and CEO of Pro-Vision Communications, in an interview with “Gazeta.Ru”. According to him, the Bank of Russia sees the entire transaction history in real time, so banks do not need to request income statements: the risk of error in credit scoring is reduced almost to zero.

This paves the way for faster approval of preferential mortgages or government-supported car loans. In addition, the digital ruble will become a single key to social payments and benefits: receiving assistance from the state will happen instantly and directly, bypassing interbank delays, the expert noted.
Free transfers with digital rubles will provide real savings for those who regularly help relatives beyond the limits of the Faster Payments System (SBP) or work as self-employed, accepting payments from legal entities without a 0.5–1% commission. For retail, the acquiring commission tends to zero, which will allow stores to offer discounts when paying with “digital”.
Vinogradov advises using a hybrid model: keep an operational balance for groceries and utilities in a digital wallet, and distribute the main amount among deposits. From September 1, operations with the digital ruble will be massively launched in Russia, which will become a single seamless payment space with CBR immunity.
Banks are ready to launch the digital ruble from September 1 — clients will be able to open accounts in applications.
