The management of the Central Bank of Russia has decided to set zero commissions for transactions in favor of the state from digital ruble accounts belonging to citizens and companies. This was reported by the regulator's press service.
From January 1, 2026, access to such operations will be available to participants in the pilot project. And after September 1, major Russian banks will grant Russians the right to open wallets with a digital ruble.
In November 2025, the Central Bank extended the grace period until the end of next year, during which companies will not be charged a commission for conducting transactions in digital rubles. Then the regulator plans to introduce minimum commissions. Transfers between individuals will be free.
