JSC "LOMO" (part of the Kalashnikov Concern) is presenting the ILLUMINA S35 line of cinema lenses at the Beijing International Radio, TV & Film Exhibition (BIRTV) 2026. The optics are designed for professional filmmaking on cameras with a PL-mount in formats up to Super 35.

The ILLUMINA S35 series lenses are designed for shooting in Super 35 format and fully cover its field. According to the developers, the optics provide high resolution across the entire frame, including at wide apertures. The PL-mount with a stated flange distance of 52 mm allows the lenses to be mounted on most professional cinema cameras, including ARRI Alexa, RED, Sony Venice, and others.

In China, ILLUMINA S35 MK-II and MK-III kits are being demonstrated, as well as attachments for macro and zone shooting. In terms of characteristics, Russian optics correspond to the level of leading global manufacturers, which has been confirmed by comparative tests. Key advantages include guaranteed aperture, high resolution, suppression of flares and reflections, smooth operation of focus and aperture control mechanisms, as well as a uniform outer barrel size, which simplifies lens changes on set without reconfiguring equipment.
