Two fake applications posing as "Ozon Bank" have been discovered on Google Play, the credit organization's press service reported. Currently, there are no official bank applications in the store.

Company representatives emphasized that the fraudulent applications are not related to the bank and warned users against downloading them. "Ozon Bank" has already appealed to the store owner with a demand to block both programs. Customers were reminded that using fakes threatens the theft of data for logging into their bank account.
The situation arose after Google Play and App Store removed official "Ozon Bank" applications on August 12 amid European sanctions. Later, other Ozon services also disappeared from the stores. Similar cases previously affected "Yandex Pay", "Max", VK, and other Russian platforms. The disappearance of legitimate versions creates space for fakes, which is exploited by malicious actors.
