The Arbitration Court of Tula Oblast has put an end to a high-profile dispute between PAO "Imperial Tula Arms Plant" (TOZ) and the Shipunov Design Bureau. The case concerned a supply contract dated September 29, 2021.

The Design Bureau did not voluntarily transfer the money, so the arms plant appealed to the Arbitration Court of Tula Oblast.

The instance ruled to recover 803.14 million rubles for the supplied products, 6.18 million rubles in penalties, and 1.9 million rubles in arbitration costs. The total debt exceeded 811.2 million rubles.

Representatives of KBP Shipunov explained that the disputed products were initially manufactured for a foreign customer but were then withdrawn for the needs of the Russian Armed Forces. The court rejected the motions.

In early February, the enterprise also lost a claim for 425 million rubles. Also, the Ministry of Defence won a case for 3 billion rubles against the plant.

KBP named after Shipunov is the developer of well-known weapon systems, including the Pantsir air defense system and Kornet complexes.
