Rostelecom users in several Siberian regions have experienced disruptions in internet service and company services. Most reports came from the Novosibirsk region, accounting for 26% of all malfunction reports. The company attributed the outage to power supply issues at a data center in Novosibirsk.

Information about the problems appeared on the Sboy.rf and Downdetector portals. After the Novosibirsk region, most reports came from the Omsk and Irkutsk regions (12% each), Altai Krai (11%), and Krasnoyarsk Krai (9%). The most common problem reported by users is a general Rostelecom service failure.

Residents of Novosibirsk also report problems accessing information about public transport routes. In addition, some media websites are not loading.

Rostelecom stated that since August 16, 2026, there has been no electricity in some areas of Novosibirsk. Because of this, the company's data center located in the city had to be urgently switched to backup power sources.

Due to a prolonged power outage, the data center experienced a temporary failure. The company reported that it was promptly eliminated, power supply was fully restored, and specialists are now continuing to restore the operation of services.
