The Russian heavy drone S-70 "Okhotnik", created to work in conjunction with the 5th generation Su-57 fighter, could become a kind of aircraft carrier for "Geraniums" and other compact drones. This concept was explained by analysts of "Voennaya Khronika".
According to open estimates, the "Okhotnik" is capable of carrying about 2 tons of weapons in internal compartments. Therefore, not only guided bombs and missiles, but also compact air-launched means can potentially be placed inside the fuselage.
The capabilities of the Russian S-70 allow placing inside the fuselage not only guided bombs and missiles of Su-57 complexes, but also compact air-launched means — jet loitering munitions ("Geraniums"), small-sized cruise missiles and missile-drones, including "Banderoles".
Alexander Stepanov, an employee of the Institute of Law and National Security of RANEPA, explained that the modernization of "Geraniums" would open up the possibility of integration with the latest R-74M2 missiles.
However, he strongly doubted the placement of "Geraniums" in the internal fuselage, based on the size of the combat drones.
