Power supply restrictions are in effect throughout the Republic of Crimea, "Krymenergo" company reported. Outages occur promptly and depend on the current situation in the energy district.
Electricity supply is carried out depending on the technical capabilities of the network. The measures are aimed at carrying out repair work and relieving overload on power lines, "Krymenergo" emphasized.
Energy workers are working around the clock to minimize inconvenience for residents of the peninsula. Earlier, a regional state of emergency was introduced in Crimea and Sevastopol to promptly resolve problems in the economic sphere.
Energy and infrastructure problems in Crimea
The energy situation on the peninsula has remained tense for several years. We have already reported on plans to build a new gas turbine power plant "Trudovaya" with a capacity of 135 MW near Simferopol – the "Technopromexport" project is designed to reduce energy deficit and cover peak loads in the network. In parallel, authorities are adapting communication infrastructure to conditions of regular outages: payphones for free calls to emergency services have appeared in Yevpatoria and Dzhankoy payphones, and emergency roaming has been launched between local operators, maintaining communication availability even during power outages.
