Gas turbine No. 1 of Novokuibyshevskaya TPP-1 was inspected using a video endoscope, which allowed assessing the condition of the unit's internal elements without disassembling the casing. The diagnostics were carried out by the Samara branch of "T Plus" company.

Specialists examined the condition of the turbine's working blades and nozzle guide vanes. The use of special nozzles on the probe allowed not only to identify possible damage but also to perform precise measurements of cracks and chips with subsequent creation of 3D models of defects.

This diagnostic method is used for early detection of parts wear. The data obtained helps power engineers to plan the replacement of individual components in advance and reduce the time equipment is out of service for repairs.

According to Marat Fetkullov, director of the Samara branch of "T Plus", such inspections are carried out regularly at the station. According to him, the technology allows finding damage at early stages and increasing the service life of equipment.
