The Telegram messenger suddenly disappeared from the Apple App Store worldwide. On the app's page in the App Store, a message appeared: "The requested page was not found." However, representatives of the messenger later reported that the application had reappeared in the app store.
According to eyewitnesses, Telegram could not be downloaded in the Russian, Turkish, and American regions.
On August 3, Apple removed the app after a review found content violating rules against child sexual exploitation material, Reuters reports.
Subsequently, access to the messenger was restored. Telegram stated that the prohibited content was distributed by one person.
The messenger has already faced a similar incident. In 2018, Apple removed the program due to "unacceptable content," and then returned it to the store's catalog after the service took the necessary measures.
