At the Penzadieselmash plant, a new turning-milling machining center with numerical control (CNC) has been put into operation, which will allow the plant to independently produce a number of components for modern turbochargers.
The new machine began operation in the mechanical and galvanic workshop of the enterprise and is designed for processing turbocharger bearing housings. Previously, some of these parts were purchased from third-party manufacturers, but the launch of new equipment will expand the plant's own production capabilities.
The turning-milling center combines several operations in one technological cycle. The equipment performs the processing of complex parts without re-installation of the workpiece, which increases manufacturing accuracy and reduces the influence of the human factor on product quality.
In the near future, the enterprise plans to put into operation two more CNC machining centers. They will be used for manufacturing turbocharger casing parts.
Penzadieselmash is part of Transmashholding and specializes in the production of diesel engines, spare parts and components for railway transport. The enterprise produces power units for locomotives and performs repair of diesel equipment.
