Russian cosmonauts are using artificial intelligence (AI) on board the International Space Station (ISS) in test mode, which helps optimize their work. This was stated by Sergey Krikalev, Deputy Head of Roscosmos for manned programs.
Currently, there is a test program on the ISS, rather a scientific experiment on the use of artificial intelligence, which allows cosmonauts to facilitate the work of writing reports on daily activities.
According to Krikalev, engineers are using additive technologies and composite materials to modernize equipment for cosmonautics. The Russian crew on board the station is engaged in similar work.
Cosmonauts maintain daily and weekly summaries, in which they record the results of scientific experiments conducted and technical tasks solved, including spacewalks. They are also obliged to inform the management about emergency situations. Many cosmonauts keep personal diaries in which they share their impressions of being in orbit.
