The company "Protector", which promised to provide spare parts for Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 and establish production of parts for Tu-214, is under investigation for the alleged theft of 12 billion rubles. The supplier's top management has been taken into custody.

According to the investigation, the defendants received advances for the purchase of foreign components, but failed to fulfill their supply obligations.

The money, according to law enforcement, was withdrawn through controlled Russian and foreign companies under the guise of payments to suppliers, agency, and logistics services.

In 2024, "Protector" announced plans to invest 3.5 billion rubles in the production and repair of components for Boeing 737 and Airbus A320, as well as in the production of structural elements for Tu-214.

The company also reported repairing Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 landing gear and cooperating with major airlines. Now the investigation will have to determine where the funds under the contracts were directed and whether the component supplies were fully completed.
