A subsidiary of "Inter RAO" — Nizhnevartovskaya GRES — filed two new lawsuits against "Silovye Mashiny" with the Moscow Arbitration Court. The total amount of claims reached almost 2.8 billion rubles.

Both disputes are related to the contract for the supply of equipment for the station's modernization.

The first lawsuit, for 378.1 million rubles, concerns the recovery of penalties for the disruption of delivery deadlines for boiler equipment for the second power unit.

The second claim — for more than 2.4 billion rubles — is related to the recovery of debt. Preliminary court hearings are scheduled for September.

The contract between the parties was concluded in the spring of 2020. It provided for the supply of turbine equipment for the modernization of the first and second power units of Nizhnevartovskaya GRES.

The second power unit of the station was included in the modernization program back in 2019. Initially, it was planned to commission it at the end of 2024, but later the deadlines were revised. According to the government's decision, power delivery is now expected only in August 2027.
